If there was ever a story to make Chris Brown look slightly less bad, this might be it.
Four Mississippi teenagers attacked WWII veteran Lawrence E. "Shine" Thornton in his driveway and the 87-year-old man died from the injuries sustained in this brutal mugging.
Lawrence E. "Shine" Thornton, from Greenville, Mississippi, died two days after four young men shoved him to the ground to steal his wallet while he was in his own driveway.
His life, says Eric Scheiner, was "a story of hard work, overcoming adversity, belief in God and finding some success in doing what you love."
The accused, Terrance Morgan, 19; Edward Johnson, 19; Leslie Litt, 18; and Geblonski Murray, 18, have each been charged with capital murder and are being held without bond. They are also charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
