After a typically strong premiere Monday, night two of The Voice proved almost, if not just as entertaining as the first as Season 5 looks terrific so far.
On the premiere, the show-stopper was Michael Schuler. On night two, it was Tessanne Chin, a woman who Adam boldly said should win The Voice.
Yes, on night one.
Tessanne, 28, had the judges going all-in from the get go.
The final performer of the evening, singing âTryâ by Pink, had all four chairs turned around and facing her before she even made it to the songâs chorus.
Adam proclaimed, âYou could easily win The Voice this season.â Whether that was just a sales pitch to snag her or not, we can't say, but it worked.
Will she live up to the hype in the coming weeks? Time will tell, but the Jamaican native certainly made a name for herself on the stage Tuesday night.
Barry Blackâs Pitch Perfect-esque vocal tricks confused Adam, but he clearly left an impression on the Maroon 5 singer, because he's on the team!
The first contestant of the night was Jacquie Lee, 16, singing Amy Winehouseâs âBack to Black.â Despite Blake's best efforts, she went with Christina.
Destinee Quinn some help from Alice cooper in her quest to move from biker bars to bigger stages, and will get the chance to do just that with Xtina.
Holly Henry, 19, earned the first four-chair turn of the night with âThe Scientistâ by Coldplay. Holly chose team Blake and become a major contender.
- E.G. Daily: Breathe (The Voice Blind Audition)
- Austin Jenckes - Simple Man (The Voice Blind Audition)
Blake also ended up with Austin Jenckes and E.G. Daily, both of whom fit the mold of contestants heâs done well with in previous seasons - country with versatility.
- Cole Vosbury - Movin' On Up (The Voice Blind Audition)
- Jonny Gray - All These Things That I've Done (The Voice Blind Audition)
Cee Lo Green was the only one to turn around for Cole Vosbury, but it only takes one, then outfought Adam for Jonny Grey, who could be a dark horse.
