Jordan Linn Graham: Charged with Murder, Accused of Pushing Newlywed Husband Off Cliff

Jordan Linn Graham has been charged with second-degree murder after an argument with her husband of eight days in July resulted in her shoving him off a cliff, police say.

The alleged incident took place at Glacier National Park in Montana.

According to an official affidavit, Graham and Cody Lee Johnson got into a verbal altercation while hiking on a trail in the park.

The 22-year old removed Johnson's hand from her arm and "due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back, and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff."

Johnson's body was discovered on July 12.

Five days earlier, Graham texted a friend and said she planned to speak with Johnson about concerns over their marriage.

"But dead serious if u don't hear from me at all again tonight, something happened," she reportedly wrote.

Johnson was reported missing after he failed to show up for work on July 8 and Graham told authorities at the time that her husband had sent her a text the night before in which he said he was going out of town with friends.

Two days later, however, she told a park ranger that she actually found Johnson's body.

"It was a place he wanted to see before he died," she said, according to the affidavit. "He would come up here with friends to drive fast when his friends were visiting from out of town."

However, on July 16, Graham finally came clean: she told police that she and Johnson were on the Loop Trail when they argued and she pushed him to his death.

Family friend Tracey Maness describes Johnson as a "big goofball" and is glad charges have finally been brought against Graham.

"Two months probably isn't very long for an FBI investigation, but when you're waiting for answers, that's a lifetime," she said.
