Lamar Odom will reportedly check into rehab "any day now," with the support of estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, in an attempt to salvage his marriage.
The troubled, 33-year-old basketball star has, according to a new report, paid for a three-month stint at a rehabilitation facility in Malibu, Calif., in full.
If this report is true, we'd be a little surprised, as Odom has been notoriously resistant to the idea before, when he was in the throes of crack addiction.
He's been opening up about his life and health lately too, and appears to be in better shape than he was a few months ago. Why would he go now?
Perhaps he has been self-healing and had some success, but knows he needs additional treatment to win back the trust of Khloe and the Lakers?
The report says Kardashian was on the line to to support him when he made a call to the rehab facility, which certainly falls in line with that theory.
Allegedly, Lamar is "investing in his future" and paying all of the costs for rehab up front in hopes of getting a grip on his abuse issues once and for all.
This wouldn’t be Lamar’s first time in rehab, if he is indeed going.
Most recently, amid rumors of crack addiction and affairs with Polina Polonsky and other women, he checked into a rehabilitation facility on September 4.
He checked out the next day, however, and went off the grid.
If the latest rumors are true, and we hope they are, Lamar may finally be realizing that he needs to take this journey to avoid losing everything dear to him.
