Lady Gaga is set to perform at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards later this fall. Eminem and Arcade Fire will also perform at the November 3 event.
The awards, directed by filmmaker Spike Jonze, will be held at Pier 36 in New York City and will - naturally, for a Google-owned site - stream live online.
The official announcement said that the awards show will honor the "artists and songs that YouTube fans have turned into global hits over the past year."
So basically, "Gangnam Style" and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis "Thrift Shop" (below).
Nominees will be announced October 17. Jason Schwartzman will host the YouTube Music Awards, which will also feature events from Seoul, Moscow, London and Brazil.
The video streaming website has become a crucial way for musical acts to share music in recent years and has also helped launch some big careers.
Previously little-known artists such as Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and South Korean pop star Psy have become sensations due to the 'Tube.
