A sign company in Texas created quite a stir this week via its new marketing campaign.
As reported by KWTX in Waco, Hornet Signs had a female employee pose for a decal that shows her bound and seemingly abducted in the back of a pickup truck, proving to motorists just how realistic its decals can be.
Of course, the stunt has been met with a bevy of criticism, with many Internet users aghast that the company would exploit violence against women in such a manner.
"I wasn't expecting the reactions that we got, nor was it really anything we certainly condone or anything else," Hornet Signs owner Brad Kolb told KWTX. "But it was just something...we had to put out there to see who notices it."
The answer? Many people. Some even called the police to report what they believed to be a real-life crime,
