Michael Douglas took home the Emmy last night for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for his role as Liberace in HBO's Behind the Candelabra.
But the veteran actor made headlines more for what he said than what he won, using his acceptance speech to refer to Catherinze Zeta-Jones as his "wife," despite talk of a separation; and also making a gay joke at the expense of co-star Matt Damon.
Douglas concluded his time on stage by saying he hopes to see his son soon, a reference to the incarceration of son Cameron for dealing Crystal Meth.
