Your guide to success with AdSense - Issue 3/4

Your guide to success with AdSense
Issue 3/4
Dear publisher,

Welcome to the third installation of our weekly email series "Your guide to success with AdSense", where we'll provide tips and advice for using AdSense. In this email, we'll focus on ad implementation, understanding the payment cycle, checking and fixing crawler errors and the Inside AdSense blog.
Ad implementation
Publishers should never place ads in a manner that will disguise ads in order to trick users into clicking on them. Similarly, ads should never be implemented deceptively or in a way which would lead to accidental clicks by users. In addition, AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google. Please take a look and familiarize yourself with our ad placement policies.
Understand the payment cycle
Once you've verified your account details and selected a form of payment, you may be wondering when you'll start to receive payments. You'll be issued a payment when your earnings reach the payment threshold, as long as there are no holds on your account and you're in compliance with our program policies.

We'll first validate your earnings for accuracy, which is a process that takes place in the first week of every month based on the previous month's earnings. Your payments will then be sent around the last week of the month.
Check and fix your crawler errors
Our AdSense crawler indexes the content of AdSense webpages in order to serve relevant ads. Ensuring that the AdSense crawler can accurately crawl your site helps increase your ad relevance and ultimately your earnings. Be sure to check whether your site is experiencing any crawler errors.

Sign in to your AdSense account, visit the "Home" Account settings page, then scroll down to the section "Access and Authorization", "Crawler access". If there are any crawler errors, you'll see the notification "Failed crawl requests". Click on "View errors" and then click on the "How to fix" column to learn how you can fix each of the different types of issues.
