Four years after she was assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna says she's ready to rekindle their friendship. In the April issue of ELLE UK, the 25-year-old singer defends her controversial romance with Brown, 23, and her plans for the future.
"Now that we're adults we can do this right," Rihanna tells the magazine (via Gossip Cop). "We got a fresh start and we're thankful for that."

But the "We Found Love" singer explains, "Right now, that's just what we want, a great friendship, that's unbreakable.
After the 2009 incident with Brown, Rihanna got a tattoo of her gun on the right side of her rib cage. "Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life. Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No. Rihanna explains. "That's why I got the gun," she explains. "It was a symbol of strength. I'll never be a victim."

Now, Rihanna is looking towards the future and having thoughts about starting a family. When asked where she will be in five years, the "Stay" singer says, "I will probably have a kid."
